Youth Achievement Project – (YAP)

Hosanna Community Foundation, Inc. Youth Achievement Project is A Safe Haven Program- In Coordination with community residents and partners to include the Urban Partnership of Miami-Dade County Coalition address the improvement of youth wellness on three levels of service. They are Direct Services, Environmental Strategies and Legislative Advocacy activities

YAP Objectives Include:

Provide strategically located safe places of learning that gives hope and serve as pathways to success for program participants and their families.
Implement Positive Action Program Curriculum an Evidence-Based Program as the community common langauge as an Environmental Strategies
Providing academic/ family literacy enhancement programs and activities for preschool, elementary, middle and senior high school youth and their families with standardized program activities at each strategically located site within program boundaries to ensure one core program at different sites.
Form partnerships with other local community-based organizations including but not limited to; community located schools, State of Florida and United States Attorney’s Office Southern District, Department of Juvenile Justice, Miami-Dade Family Court system, the Department of Children and Families and etc

Positive Youth Development Programs

Hosanna Learning Center – Early Childhood Development

Since November 2010, HCF has operated an Early Child Development Center (licensed for 54 infants/toddlers ages birth to 5; to include school age youth. HLC serves parents of older siblings who attend the identified elementary schools and participate in the After School and Summer Camp Programs.

Hosanna Afterschool and Summer Camp Program

Since 1998, HCF has provided exceptional out-of-school (After-School and Summer Camp) time programs and has a long history in partnering with neighboring schools, receiving referrals and serving as an overflow site for afterschool and summer programming. HCF is located directly adjacent to Olinda Elementary School, 1.5 miles from Lillie C. Evans K-8, and 0.9 miles from Poinciana Park Elementary. These schools are active members of the UPMDCC.

Please Bring:

W-2 and 1099 forms you received from your employer
Information on any other income you received during the previous tax year
Information about any deductions or credits you may wish to claim
A copy of last year's tax return
Your Social Security card, and that your spouse and dependents
Photo identification for yourself, your spouse and all adults appearing on the tax return
A voided check (If you want your refund deposited to your bank account)

Children of Inmates Program

What is it?

This is a referral-based program developed to provide holistic support to children of incarcerated parent(s). CIO is the collaborative effort of various community service organizations working together to meet immediate and long-term needs.
