Hosanna Community Foundation (HCF) serves at-risk children ages 6 – 17. The Youth Achievement Program/Positive Action (YAP/PA) utilizes the Positive Action evidence-based program for age appropriate levels. Participants are recruited from area elementary, middle and high schools within the same feeder pattern. Services will be provided in both school and “Safe Haven” community setting.
The Positive Action (Community Based setting) program combines academic tutoring and SMART Fitness activities. PA Family/Parent Training is offered to complement and strengthen family supports. Additionally, participants are able to take part in pro-social civic engagement and recognition opportunities including participation in four social norm campaigns and other environmental strategies offered in coordination with their local coalition. Participants are offered 12 pro-social involvement opportunities throughout the year. The “Royal Ambassadors Program” (RAP) offers an annual schedule of opportunities for children and youth to engage in community service projects. A graduation/recognition event acknowledges and rewards their achievement.
