Counting Down till the big project!!
Hosanna Community Foundation and Olinda Elementary School are officially hosting a clean-up/beautification project in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! The project, Olinda Beautification Project (OBP) is on Saturday, January 17, 2009. We need garden tool donations and many volunteers to help make this event a success. Fingerprint/DNA Event

Event Details: Hosanna Community Foundation is partnering with the Miami-Dade School police to host a presentation on safety and a fingerprinting portion. Children with permission slips signed by their parents will be receive an identity kit with the child's fingerprints and instructions for DNA sample. This kit will be returned during the next Parent/child workshop.

Event Details: We have registered in the 2008 Baynanza Biscayne Bay Cleanup Day Event on Saturday.
* Our site is located at Rickenbacker Cswy left at Central Treatment Plant sign. Directions available at: http://www.mapquest.com

Please bring sunscreen, extra water, a hat, canvas work gloves, comfortable closed toe shoes, insect repellant, and lots of energy!

T-shirts will be distributed to participants who are in attendance at the event.
* Volunteers under 16 are not permitted to be dropped-off.
***All volunteers / chaperones (including walkups) will be subject to a background check against the State of Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators database.
IMPORTANT: Kids who signed up will be picked up in the morning. Please be ready by 8:30am!

PUPPET SHOW

Event Details: The puppet show will be performed by the Miami-Dade County Police. This is a fun, entertaining, yet informative event for kids of all ages. The purpose is to teach kids safety lessons and a easy way for kids to remember what they learn.
